Each one of our members is licensed in aquatic pesticide application through the state of North Carolina. Our licenses also allows us to work in South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.
"SKIP" KARBY - PRESIDENT/ OWNER
Experienced, trustworthy, knowledgable. These are just a few of the ways his employees describe this invaluable member of their team. Skip is truly a joy to be around and makes it a pleasure to come to work every single day. He is an Aquatic Biologist and has done Aquatic work for over 40 years. Originally from Ohio, he relocated to Clearwater, Florida to pursue his love for the outdoors and water. He raised a variety of fish and treated aquatic vegetation for years before introducing his expertise to the Western North Carolina area. Skip is Licensed and Certifed in Aquatics, Turf/ Ornamental Plants, Right of Way, and Forestry.
Stephen has an extensive background in aquatics, with almost 15 years experience. His education includes Environmental Science, Horticulture, and Landscape Design. Stephen oversees the Charlotte area with his company Carolina Aquatic Management LLC.
TOM SARGENT JR.
Tom is the General Manager and has been working with Mountain Lake and Pond for almost 13 years. He has a handle on many facets of the company. He has a background in horticulture and is Licensed and Certified in Aquatics and Turf/ Ornamental plants.
Tyler has been with Mountain Lake and Pond for over a year and he is Licensed and Certified in Turf/ Ornamental Plants, Forestry, Right of Way, and Aqautics. He has a background in Golf Course Maintenance and Landscaping.
Josh brings a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Science from Tusculum College and is currently working towards a Masters of Science in Geographic Information Sciences. Josh is skilled in many areas from his background as a research assistant, and also working for the Tennessee State Park system.
James has and extensive background in sustainable farming education and pesticide application. He also earned a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science from Western Carolina University.
